The Raddest Rigs In Town

These are but two of the names of kickass rides rolling down the streets of this country. One is the infamous Egg's House (a comment on the quality of the materials used in its construction?) and the other contraption is the Alobics (complete with the classic most common spelling mistake found here, don't bother to consult a dictionary before you slap it on) MH-268, not to be confused with last year's MH-267. Why people would spend the extra money to buy a bicycle that what it saves in the expenditure of power by the rider over bumps it loses in overall weight and pedal bob is beyond me. And these things are never taken off the streets! I've yet to see a pothole here, let alone a washboard chatter section followed by a series of whoops to 9-foot drop, so I'm of the mind that you probably don't need a 50+ pound hunk of fully-suspended metal, rubber and plastic to guide you from your house to the train station. Another example of fashion trumping function in Japan. How else do you explain guys wearing little handkerchiefs around their necks and wristbands with nails in them at the same time?

Signed, Confused.
